"The Next President Will Be Worse"
Anthony Gregory is probably correct. Unless a miracle happens and Ron Paul becomes president (it's possible), the next president will turn out to be even worse then the Bush administration. It does not matter if this president be a Republican or Democrat. (Do people still believe there is a fundamental difference between them?) His prediction that it will be Hillary Clinton who becomes president is something that I have thought for a long time. Even though she is hated by many, she has the ability and the commitment to punch through. Gregory’s prediction of Giuliani as the Republican nominee is something less I am able to say will happen in the realm of probability. McCain is the guy I think will get it. Yes, much of the right does not like him, but think he has a greater chance to pull it off.
(Addendum: I obviously got the whole McCain thing all wrong. I am not sure who will get the Republican nomination. But as far as the Democrat Party, yes, I still think it will be Clinton.)
The future is uncertain. We will have to wait and see.
Politics is a circus to watch from the distance. Humor adds to life (be it a kind of sick humor). Maybe that is why politics exists? (----I’m joking.)
Besides Ron Paul, no one is even sounding good at the present. George W. Bush at least sounded somewhat good in 2000. As Gregory notes, he talked about limited government and why the U.S. is not meant to be the world’s policeman. This was in contrast to Al Gore, who was part of an administration that expanded government and acted as the world’s policeman.
When we observe the modern presidents they have just gotten worse. Why would this continuation now, all of a sudden, stop? It is part of government’s nature. Government is a force of coercion. Corruption and failure is in its nature. This increases with its size.
